Our Tribute to Architect I.M. Pei
Farewell to the architect known for his modernist work with a few Colorado connections
I.M. Pei, the renowned and celebrated architect, passed away at his New York home last week at the age of 102. Some of his most famous designs include the East Building of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. and the glass pyramid entrance at the Louvre in Paris.

Pei gave “this century some of its most beautiful interior spaces and exterior forms,” said the jury of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, which Pei won in 1983.
