A Collective of Small Businesses Offering High Quality Goods in Time for the Holiday Season
Boulder, Colorado hosts a creatively curated handmade artisan market featuring 80+ artists, makers, and designers
The famous Pearl Steet Mall in Boulder, Colorado is the site of Firefly Handmade’s holiday shopping event, taking place November 11th and 12th on the historic pedestrian mall. The four-block shopping center will feature more than 80 of the best local and regional artisans offering unique, high-quality goods, perfect for holiday gifting.
“It’s a wonderful compliment to all of the fabulous brick and mortar merchants in Downtown Boulder and, together with a stop at one of the many great restaurants downtown, a perfect way to get your holiday shopping done in a location framed by the majestic Flatirons,” says Beth Pomerantz, Owner & Creative Director of Firefly Handmade.
Learn the stories of the artisans who will be selling goods at the event, including jewelers, visual artists, bath and body makers, clothiers, ceramicists, distilleries and more. “If you value the ability to touch, feel or smell the item you are purchasing, and to talk to and learn the process and story of the artisan who created it, shopping at a small business is the best way to do it,” explains Pomerantz. “You are not only supporting your neighbor and community, but you are also keeping your money in the local economy and making it stronger.”
Adding to the merriment of the joyous event, local musicians will be playing interpretations of holiday tunes as well as other original music to keep holidays spirits high. “We will have a wonderful, eclectic group of local musicians on hand all weekend to entertain and delight all of our shoppers,” says Pomerantz.
Firefly Handmade is hosting their holiday market in Boulder on November 11th and 12th from 11 am to 5 pm. For shoppers who are unable to attend the Boulder event, head to Denver December 9th and 10th for the festive shopping experience.
The open-air market on Old Gaylord Street in Washington Park features many of the same artisans as the Boulder market. “Whether you’re looking for yourself or a special something for someone else, there will be amazing, one-of-a-kind finds for everyone and every occasion,” says Pomerantz.
