Beaver Creek’s Summer Pop-Ups Bring Local Charm to the Village
From a retro whiskey speakeasy to a garden-inspired boutique, these seasonal shops add a fresh twist to alpine adventures.
Known for its local shops and restaurants, Beaver Creek makes summer in the mountains memorable. This season, three new pop-up shops—Minturn Whiskey Speakeasy, Candy Cabin, and the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens Gift Shop—are making their mark throughout the village through Labor Day.
“This summer’s retail pop-up program was inspired by a desire to bring fresh energy and unique experiences to the heart of Beaver Creek Village, offering both locals and visitors a dynamic way to engage with the community,” says Clint Huber, Director of Economic Development, Beaver Creek Resort Company. “By curating a mix of beloved local brands and new surprises, the program transforms the village into a vibrant hub of discovery and delight.”
Each shop reflects the spirit of Colorado and was designed to celebrate local flavor, elevate the guest experience, and create moments that feel both unexpected and authentically Beaver Creek, Huber tells Colorado Homes & Lifestyles. The curation of pop-ups coincides with the grand opening of Creekside Park—an open invitation to extend visitors’ alpine adventures outdoors.
“By spotlighting Colorado-based makers, cherished traditions like the Candy Cabin, and partnerships with local institutions such as Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and Minturn Whiskey, the village is embracing experiences that feel both rooted in place and fresh with every visit,” Huber explains.
Minturn Whiskey Speakeasy
Guests first step inside a reimagined 1970s real estate office, painted orange and filled with retro accents—a nod to vintage flair. Beyond the entrance, a vibrant collection of craft spirits and a curated cocktail menu await.
Candy Cabin
During the winter season, the beloved Candy Cabin welcomes skiers and snowboarders with an abundance of sweet treats atop the Strawberry Park Express lift. This summer, Beaver Creek guests can enjoy a nostalgic sugar fix right in the heart of the village.
Betty Ford Alpine Gardens Gift Shop
Known for its botanical gardens in Vail, the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens Gift Shop brings a sense of whimsy to Beaver Creek. A collection of artisanal and sustainable goods—ranging from key chains and candles to hair clips and more—can be found throughout the boutique.
