“Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd,” but first take me out to The Rally Hotel and feed me oysters at Call Me Pearl. Opened in the spring in 2021, The Rally Hotel is the jewel in the McGregor Square crown. This mixed-used development, next to Coors Field, is a destination unto itself.  If going there, or heading to a ball game, The Rally is the place to stay.

Upscale, and yet cozy, ICRAVE, an interior design firm out of New York is responsible for the hotel’s look. Drawing from the idea of Colorado living and comfort, the designers were going for the feeling of approachable luxury, and they hit a home run. I sat down with hotel general manager, Marie DeLibero, for all the details on one of Denver’s newest and most luxurious properties.

“The interior design of The Rally Hotel definitely gives a nod to its next-door neighbor, Coors Field,” says DeLibero. “There are displays of memorabilia from the 1998 All-Star Game in Denver, in the lobby.” “The hotel’s aesthetic aims to create a modern, ‘All-American’ atmosphere with elevated design that incorporates contemporary amenities and a lively local spirit,” she adds.

The hotel’s interiors also give homage to its home city of Denver, Colorado. There’s a Denver Monopoly board game displayed, as well as other items that will elicit Mile High nostalgia. Artwork displayed throughout the hotel, even in guest rooms, was curated by NINE dot ARTS, a Denver-based firm. It is inspired by the history, excitement and energy of the LoDo neighborhood with which the hotel resides.

Nooks exist for sitting and reading an old style newspaper, or news on one’s phone. The Rally is a blend of new and old, in a contemporary setting. A wall of foliage hides Call Me Pearl, the hotel’s fantastic cocktail bar. Featuring handcrafted drinks like the Desert Blossom paired with simply amazing Halibut Cheek Yakitori, on the Afterglow Menu through October 31.

Call Me Pearl is always mixing things up, although a plate of oysters on a bed of pearls is always available. Recently named Best Happy Hour Spot by ColoradoBiz’s Best of Colorado 2025, this cocktail bar is a must-visit when in McGregor Square. The OG is the hotel’s breakfast restaurant with a diner-meets-modern-times type of ambiance. Not to mention delicious food options like breakfast sausage corndogs, Billion Dollar Bacon and brioche french toast fried in a Cap’n Crunch Berries breading, served with Crème Anglaise and berries.

The heated rooftop pool might have the best nearly 360-degree views of downtown Denver, and the far-off Rocky Mountains. Guests can enjoy soaking in the pool, or soaking up the rays of Colorado sunshine on the vast pool deck, complete with firepits and lounging couches. The rooms continue the theme of Colorado living and approachable luxury. Floor to ceiling windows bring lots of light into the room. Although, on floor eight, dark design accents of purple, black and a misty, Colorado orange greets visitors. If you book this floor, know that the floor is exactly 5,280 feet above sea level, making it quintessentially the Mile High City.

To call the hotel dog-friendly is an understatement. From a treat upon arrival to treats provided in the rooms, The Rally welcomes furry friends with open arms. And while right downtown, Coors Field, a few steps away, has a huge dog-friendly lawn with dog bag dispensers. McGregor Square even features doggie water fountains. The square spans an entire block and features residences, offices, restaurants, retail, and a plaza with a stadium-sized screen.

“The Rally blends urban living, entertainment, food, and business travel, while providing easy access to the surrounding restaurants and retail within McGregor Square,” says DeLibro. The Rally and surrounding area really is a destination, whether for a ballgame or headquarters for exploring the Mile High City. Be sure to check out the Butterfly Pavilion Field Trip Package available at The Rally. This family-friendly package includes everything needed for a day of exploring the Butterfly Pavilion, in honor of National Pollinators Month and continuing through the fall. Be sure to see the butterfly exhibits under glass in The Rally lobby.
