Jenn and Parker Ellenburg are Boulder- and Hawaii-based adventurers (surfers, climbers, hikers) whose company, Eroix, produces clothing for active souls. Their two products, “Underneathwear” and “Tees° by Degree°,” promise global comfort in different altitudes, climates and seasons. I was dubious, but I have to say I love their 60/40 tee for my gym torture—I mean training. It’s a cross between a sweatshirt and a cotton tee, and it’s crazy comfortable.

HANDMADE FOR THE HOME
River North Workshop Co. is a combination of retail store and craft space that sells small-batch, locally made goods. Colorado makers offer their wares as well as teach classes on site (4-6 classes are scheduled weekly). On my first visit, co-owner Alicia Hendricks asked me if I’d try out a new rolling pin design from Steve Fast of Fast Industries. I am an avid pie maker and was skeptical about changing out my tool of choice, but this 20-inch maple rolling pin ($46) is beautiful, has a great feel and gives a soulful roll. Even my husband, master of the kitchen, agreed while producing pastry for his mother’s butter tart recipe. There’s no higher praise than that, I promise you.
