D Bar’s Tea Tower is Divine

The classic downtown Denver hotel, Brown Palace, was booked for high tea, so we opted for D Bar. No schmaltzy piano player here, but there are plenty of other assets—it’s gourmet, hip, fun, and daughter-approved.

And D Bar’s tea tower is divine. Three plates stacked high with grilled cheese and tomato soup; roasted vegetable herb tart; savory chicken salad on a brioche bun; assorted scones, petits fours, caramels, chocolates, white chocolate almond cookies…need I continue? Ideal for a Mother’s Day soirée. $28/person, reservations required. D Bar, Denver, dbardenver.com
