A Garfield County Hideaway

Drink + Stay at The Distillery Inn

Ever heard of a destination distillery? Me neither. But that’s just what the Marble Distilling Co. has dubbed itself. This liquor manufacturer in the heart of the Roaring Fork Valley happens to house a posh, five-room hotel called The Distillery Inn. “Carbondale is such a great little town with so many amenities, but it didn’t have any ‘nice’ places to stay,” says co-owner Connie Baker. “So when working on the design for the distillery building, we included a boutique hotel.”

Baker and her partners built the zero-waste distillery in 2015. It sources 90 percent of its grain from within a mile, with the rest coming from elsewhere in Colorado. The distillery uses water from the Crystal River, filtered through calcite Yule marble to makes its small-batch spirits, thus the name Marble Distillery. The Inn features cozy fireplaces, free craft-liqueur samples, Nespresso machines and a rain shower in each room, plus creative vacation packages. 150 Main Street, Carbondale
