Colorado “I Have A Dream” Foundation (CIHAD) will salute the achievements of individuals who “Dream it…Achieve it!” and pave the way for others during their annual gala on Wednesday, November 13 at the Denver Center for Performing Arts Seawell Ballroom. This year’s esteemed gala honorees are Linda Childears, president and CEO of the Daniels Fund; and local entrepreneur and CIHAD co-founder, Rusty Wehner. The evening will also feature the cutting-edge sounds of Spinphony, a local female string quartet.
Colorado “I Have A Dream” Foundation (CIHAD) has been encouraging youth to follow their passions and, more importantly, to believe in their dreams for more than 30 years. CIHAD, which has impacted the lives of more than 1,000 Denver metro youth, provides individualized social, emotional, and academic support to young people from under-resourced communities from kindergarten through college - to bridge the educational gap and ensure a level playing field. CIHAD believes that when given equal access to the resources they need to succeed; all children can ignite their innate potential and achieve their dreams. Recognized for their innovative practices, the nonprofit also serves as a national model for the adoption of Colorado’s first “Dreamer” school.
