More than just a Craftsman furniture store, Modern Bungalow is a virtual gold mine for all things Craftsman, Arts & Crafts and Mission Style. It's a blend of gallery, retail store, and information resource on the art and design philosophy of the American Craftsman movement. Product displays encourage customers to experience the warm and inviting feel and tactile experience of high quality, hand-crafted items.

Modern Bungalow is the largest store of its kind between San Diego and Chicago and brings to life home furnishings for today's bungalow in the city, mountain home or new build. Over 100 American made lines from the best contemporary craftsmen are featured.

Kate and Ed Sultan created Modern Bungalow when, after purchasing a 1919 'Craftsman Bungalow' in Denver, Colorado, they could not find a single resource for authentic period pieces necessary to decorate their home. They knew others who also wanted authentic furnishings and the idea was born. They opened Modern Bungalow in 2004, then after early success, expanded the current store to more than 4,500 square feet.

Modern Bungalow features all things Craftsman and Mission: furniture, lighting, wool rugs, tiles, pottery, and home accents. The business seeks out and promotes American makers and craftsmen to ensure that quality is significantly better than typical home furnishings or "big box" stores. They offer interior design advice for the Craftsman style, complex design for tile installations, and a full custom furniture service. If the Craftsman or Mission furniture style is your passion, do not pass up the opportunity to get to know Ed and Kate Sultan.
