ART
Women Artists of the West present their annual national exhibition Feb. 6-28 at Saks Galleries in Denver's Cherry Creek. This juried show will highlight the work of some of the country's finest female artists, many of whom you can meet at the Feb. 6 reception from 5-8 p.m. Colorado artists Karen Vance of Frasier and Jane DeDecker of Loveland will be honored for their work. waow.org.

“Winter Wonderland” Beaux Arts Ball to benefit National Jewish Health: Have fun—and do good—at this year's Beaux Arts Ball, one of Denver's most fabulous black-tie galas. Each year, the gala raises money to support National Jewish Health's renowned patient care, research, education and outreach.
When: 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21
Where: Hyatt Regency Denver
Why: You'll get a feel-good high from supporting an organization whose work literally saves lives. Plus, the gala always attracts top-notch entertainment. (Last year, Gary Sinise's Lt. Dan Band rocked the ballroom. No word as of press time on this year's act, but it's always a show not to be missed.)

Tired of the same ol' party?

Support the Denver Art Museum's Department of Architecture, Design and Graphics at the 5th annual Design After Dark fundraiser, Friday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. at the Exdo Event Center in Denver. Local creative minds—including interior designers, graphic artists and architects—design items for auction, all inspired by the theme “versus.” The food is always fantastic, and the level of design acumen will inspire you.
