CH&L: Sierra Pacific is pretty serious about environmental stewardship. What are the eco-friendly measures you take?

SPW: We are a third-generation, family owned and operated forest products company. We are vertically integrated and provide products “From Our Forest to Your Home”. We own and manage approximately 1.9 million acres of forestland. As good stewards of the forest, our goal is to maintain and improve the forest ecosystem for future generations, including wildlife
habitat, native plant species and water quality. Science guides our practices. Our actively managed forests are absorbing vast amounts of greenhouse gases and carbon in the fight against global warming while producing oxygen to maintain and improve air quality. Our management practices also protect against catastrophic wildfires. Our products are SFI certified and carry the SFI label. We effectively use 100% of the fiber we harvest. Our extruded aluminum exteriors are coated with eco-friendly, no VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) powder coatings that generate zero hazardous waste during the application process.

SPW: Our Aspen Collection Casement and Awning; innovative, industry-leading and aesthetically superior, this product features an extraordinary breakthrough in window hardware. With this technological advance, the locking hardware is hidden from sight; no visible lock latches to detract from the warmth and beauty of the wood interiors.

CH&L: Walk us through some of the specialty door options you deliver…

SPW: Sierra Pacific Specialty Doors are an exciting element for any home. Our offering includes Bifold Doors, Sliding Stacking Pocket Doors, and Radius Top, Lockrail or Raised-Panel Bottom French Doors. If you can dream it; there’s a good chance we can build it. The Bifold Doors glide smoothly to create large openings that transform your living spaces. With panels folding and stacking either to one side or both sides of the opening, these doors are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The Sliding Stacking Pocket Door disappears into a pocket in your wall to create a seamless transition from the interior to the exterior of your home.
