Mix at The Way Back

Learn how to mix a festive cocktail at the Berkeley neighborhood's fab restaurant/bar

Shaken or stirred? If you want to learn the difference, or find out firsthand how to mix a festive cocktail, head to The Way Back, a swanky new restaurant/bar in the Berkeley neighborhood that’s hosting cocktail-making classes on the second Saturday of each month from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

There, partner Chad Michael George and his bar team will teach the techniques while attendees sip on three specialty drinks, paired with small bites from chef Jon Lavelle. Classes are $40 per person, and each student receives 10 percent off their food-and-drink bill that same day or night.
