All Things Pie

Already overwhelmed thinking about your Thanksgiving menu? Take a deep breath and Google “Wednesday’s Pie.” Restaurateur Frank Bonanno originally opened the Larimer Square shop only on Wednesdays, but high demand forced a daily offering.

Doubling as the secret front for Denver speakeasy Green Russell, the shop boasts a tiny underground pie counter, checkered floors, six seats and three types of freshly made pies daily. Crusts are super buttery and flaky, and delectable fillings rotate seasonally.

Custom ordering for Thanksgiving is available via wednesdayspie.com. We sampled the S’mores Pie and ate every last graham-cracker crumb. Other stops high on the pie chart: Humble Pie, Mermaids Bakery, Estes Park Pie Shop and Hinman’s Bakery (also known for their heavenly Yule Log).
